2024 Scholarships and Stipends for Indigenous and Latine Artists
Building on the momentum and success of our Access Initiative last year, full scholarships and $500 toward living expenses will be awarded to three Indigenous and/or Latine artists accepted for 2024.
Our goal for this initiative is to encourage applications from a greater number of BIPOC artists, and specifically Latine and Indigenous artists, as they have been the least-represented marginalized groups in our previous applicant pools.
In addition to direct outreach to these artists’ communities, we have asked our alumni to help us spread the word to BIPOC artist communities in their areas.
We believe artist residencies should not be an exclusive professional development opportunity for some. Artists working at all stages of their careers and from all racial and economic backgrounds can benefit from a residency program that offers space and time to experiment, connect, research, replenish and develop new ideas and works of art.
